Cookies
Only the cookies it needs.
Northpage sets a few small cookies so you stay signed in and readers are not asked for a passcode twice. No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, so there is no cookie banner.

Signing in
- np_session keeps you signed in to your workspace. It lasts 30 days, or until you sign out.
- np_signin holds your place while you type the code we emailed you. It lasts ten minutes.
Reading a published page
- np_link_… remembers that you typed the passcode for one page, so you are not asked again. It lasts 30 days and only works for that link.
- np_name remembers the name you gave when you last commented, so you do not have to type it again. It lasts a year.
- A text-size preference remembers the size you chose for reading, on your device. It is not used for anything else.
What we do not set
No advertising cookies, no analytics, no social media pixels, on this site or on the pages you publish. Each cookie above is there because the service needs it to do what you asked, so the law does not require a consent banner.
Clearing them
You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you do, you will be signed out and asked for page passcodes again. The privacy policy has the rest. Questions to hello@northpage.app.
